Apple’s iPhoto Online Services Now Available in the UK
Users Can Now Order Prints and Books with the Click of a Button

Apple today announced that iPhoto 4 users in the UK can now order professional prints and high-quality bound copies of any book created in iPhoto online. With its simple and elegant user interface, iPhoto makes it easy to import, edit and print digital photos, as well as organise and manage an entire photo collection.
iPhoto is part of iLife ’04, Apple’s award-winning suite of digital lifestyle applications which also includes iTunes, iMovie, iDVD and GarageBand. iLife ’04 leads the industry in allowing consumers to easily organise their photos, manage their music collection, create movies, author DVDs and create music.
With iPhoto 4 users can scroll through and resize up to 25,000 photos in seconds to find exactly the photo they’re looking for. New time-based photo organisation gives users even easier access to their photos, and Smart Albums automatically organises photos based on date, keyword or the user’s own rating. New slideshows include cinematic transitions and controls for rotating, rating and deleting photos on the fly. With Rendezvous photo sharing, photos can easily be shared between computers across home networks.

iPhoto users can order professionally processed Kodak prints and enlargements online. Unlike traditional film processing, users can order just the prints they want, from the popular 10 x 15cm format at 23p ex VAT to a 20 x 30cm enlargement for just £1.69 (ex VAT). A custom-printed, linen-covered hard bound 10-page book of photos is available for just £16.99 (ex VAT).
iLife ’04 is available for a suggested retail price of £39 through the Apple Store and Apple Authorised Resellers. iLife ’04 is also included with all new Macs.

A 600MHz G3 processor or faster is required for GarageBand and a G4 or G5 processor is required for GarageBand software instruments. An Apple SuperDrive or 733MHz G4 processor is required for iDVD and a SuperDrive is required to burn DVDs.
