Jeff Williams

Design, Watch, and Health

Jeff Williams is Apple’s senior vice president of Design, Watch, and Health, reporting to CEO Tim Cook. In this role, he oversees Apple’s world-class design team, as well as the software and hardware engineering for Apple Watch. Jeff also leads the company’s health initiatives, pioneering new technologies and advancing medical research to empower people to better understand and manage their health and fitness.

Previously, Jeff served as Apple’s chief operating officer for ten years, starting in 2015. He joined Apple in 1998 as head of Worldwide Procurement, and played a key role in Apple’s entry into the mobile phone market with the launch of iPhone. He also led the engineering development of Apple Watch.

Prior to Apple, Jeff worked for the IBM Corporation from 1985 to 1998 in a number of operations and engineering roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Duke University.
