The Apple Vision Pro app is designed to protect your information and enable you to choose what you share. When we collect data, we believe it’s important for you to know what we’re collecting and why we need it.

Using the Apple Vision Pro app

The Apple Vision Pro app allows you to access new content and information about your Apple Vision Pro device all in one place. When you use the Apple Vision Pro app, Apple uses an identifier linked to your Apple Account to display content in the app, such as previews of content available in Apple apps like Spatial Gallery, the App Store and Apple TV. Additionally, if you engage with content displayed in the Apple Vision Pro app that is available in other Apple apps, you will be able to view content from within those apps and your data will be collected subject to their app-specific privacy notices.

The Apple Vision Pro app also uses an identifier linked to your Apple Account to show you information about your Apple Vision Pro, such as the device’s serial number or whether it received the latest update.

The Apple Vision Pro app shows your prescription information for your ZEISS Optical Inserts in the app. Your prescription information is synced using end-to-end encryption, so Apple can’t access it.

Apple may process and store the information that is sent to Apple with trusted third-party service providers.

Communicating with You

We use a device identifier to send you notifications. To update your notification preferences on your iOS device, go to Settings > Notifications > Apple Vision Pro app.

Retention

Apple retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including as described in Appleʼs Privacy Policy or in our service-specific privacy notices, or as required by law. When assessing retention periods, we first carefully examine whether it is necessary to retain the personal data collected and, if retention is required, work to retain the personal data for the shortest possible period permissible under law.
